Tuned to play
Headed and tuned by ear.
Home / About Us

What pleases us most are the players who come back for re-heads and the next drum, and the drums played and kept for years. That is the sign that craft and care are worth something.
We are glad to re-head and repair. Bringing a tired drum back to voice so it is kept in use is honest, satisfying work.
We work by hand and by ear. Bending the frame, fitting and tacking the head, tuning and finishing, step by step, listening. It is absorbing work, and that is where the difference from a machine-made drum lies.
Headed and tuned by ear.
Good timber and hide, made to last.
Every drum built in the workshop.
Drums re-headed and kept playing.
